To prevent scratches on surfaces, each coaster has rubber feet on the bottom, and they are treated with a high-quality sealant to make them water-resistant (not waterproof). It's important to keep them away from water as it can damage it. Moreover, the coasters are not suitable for use in microwaves and dishwashers. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth or use a microfiber cloth for light dusting.

WHAT IS JESMONITE:
Jesmonite is an eco friendly material made from a combination of gypsum (a mineral created from sedimentary rock) and water-based acrylic resin. It is heavy (think stone/concrete) but has a very smooth finish.
